The temperature in Oil & Gas Wells increases with depth. Typically, the well temperature increases of about 15°F for each 1000 feet depth (or 3°C every 100m). Deeper than 20,000 Feet, the well temperature can easily reach 350°F (175°C). This explains why High Temperature Electronics is needed to acquire the most critical well measurements.
